Damascus Wakizashi

Here is an interesting project that I thought I might share. I forged a large damascus billet from 1080/15N20.
I ground a heartbeat pattern in the edge and proceeded to forge a short Wakizashi.
The blade has been heat treated and etched.
I have some nice pieces of ebony that I will be using for the handle and scabbard.
With a possible traditional cord wrapped handle.
